I have been having so much fun making different beauty and home products using my Young Living Essential Oils this month! If you didn’t see our Peppermint Lip Gloss or Peppermint Lip Scrub be sure to stop and check them out! You’ll find photos and links at the bottom of this post!
Today I have a Homemade Lemon Dishwasher Detergent to share with you and oh boy does it smell good and get your dishes clean! I am not someone who likes to use my dishwasher very often, but this may have changed my thinking! Check out how easy it is to make!
How to Make Homemade Dishwasher Detergent
What You Need
- 2 Cups Borax
- 2 Cups Washing Soda
- 4 Packets of Lemon Kool-Aid Mix
- 6 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil
Instructions
Mix everything together in a bowl and place in an airtight container by the Dishwasher. Fill the Dishwasher Detergent area of the Dishwasher with the Homemade Detergent and wash as you normally would.
I love making my own cleaning products, not only are they simple to make but they end up smelling so much better when I use Essential Oils. I get a lot of headaches from cleaning products that smell too strong so this is really important to me. I have a few more homemade cleaning recipes and posts to share with you over the next few weeks so stay tuned!
