Honey Lemon Homemade Lip Balm

January 15, 2017   |   1 Comment

Winter’s lips need a break, a conditioning soothing break from cold winds and harsh temperatures.  Between cold and flu season, weather, and hot drinks keeping your lips moisturized are a must. Keep them in top winter form with this Honey Lemon Homemade Lip Balm that not only tastes yummy but it really works to condition your lips and soothe them.  If you love the idea of making your own lip balm at home follow along with these easy instructions below.

Honey Lemon Homemade Lip Balm

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. coconut oil
  • 2 tsp. shea butter
  • 2 tsp.beeswax granules
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. raw honey
  • 2 drops lemon essential oil

Directions:

Combine shea butter, beeswax granules, and coconut oil in a small pan over medium-low heat. Stir mixture frequently with a whisk until fully melted.

Remove it from heat and stir in lemon juice, honey, and essential oil.

Spoon mixture into small makeup pots-glass is best.

Let it sit for several hours until firm, you can speed this up by placing them in the refrigerator.

Keep them in a cool dry place, if left somewhere too warm (like a hot car) your lip balm will liquefy.
