Mother’s Day is only days away, so I wanted to take a minute to thank my Mom. I never knew how much she did for me and the family until I became a Mother myself.
Have you stopped to think about how much your Mom did through out your life? Did you think about everything down to the little tasks that she did every single day? There are so many things that just get done because Mom does them.
As a Stay Home Mom, I find that a lot of my day is about cleaning. I do a lot of washing dishes, some because of my family and some because I love to bake but there’s always dishes to be done at our house. I usually wash dishes 3 to 4 times a day.
And then there’s the laundry, it never ends! The amount of laundry to be done is crazy and I have boys! They don’t care so much about what they wear and they don’t change their clothes a lot but there is laundry coming out my ears most days. This is my least favorite job but I stay home and it’s one of my jobs that has to get done.
Making beds, my boys usually do their own beds but it never fails that they are running late for school a few days of the week. My choices are to look at the messy beds all day or make them myself and if you know me at all you know I’m going to make the beds every time. I can’t walk by the rooms several times a day to see the messy bed.
Do any of these jobs seem that hard to do? Nah. They’re really not but they all take time and they all have to be done. Us Mom’s do them because we want to care for our families and make life a little easier and more pleasant. That doesn’t mean we all enjoy cleaning and cooking but it’s part of being a Mom.
Remember when Holiday’s come around, us Mom’s are usually the ones who plan and make the meal. Right? So, I had an idea this year. Instead of spending Mother’s Day in the kitchen cooking and cleaning for yourself and the Mom’s in your life, why not pick up what you want to serve at HoneyBaked Ham? You can get the entire meal!
Did you know you can get a delicious glazed ham with the sides to complete lunch at HoneyBaked Ham? That means no slaving away in the kitchen all day. You can relax and let the hubby do the work. Spoil yourself with this, let someone else do the cooking!
This would be a great gift to give Mom this Mother’s Day! If you have been trying to think of the perfect gift idea, plan the meal and do the work! Mom’s love that and don’t forget to clean up when you’re done!
