How to Decorate a Christmas Tree

November 18, 2015   |   3 Comments

Hey, guys!  I’m so excited to share a Christmas decorating post with you.  That’s right, I have my tree up already! I’m one of those people who put my tree up as early as I can so that I can enjoy it for as long as possible.  This year I found this gorgeous tree from Bellecor that I wanted to share with you as well as a few tips on decorating a Christmas tree AND an amazing giveaway for one of these beautiful trees!  Keep reading for all the details!

How to Decorate a Christmas Tree!

First let me tell you a little bit about this tree.  This Vickerman Tree is  7 1/2 Foot tree that has 750 lights!  This was the absolute easiest tree that I have ever put up!  It came in three sections that just slid together and the lights plugged in.  Fluff it all up and you’re done!  It literally took me about 15 minutes!  After that I was ready to start decorating!

Christmas Tree Decorating

How I decorated My Tree

Start by putting up your tree, make sure to “fluff” all the branches to make the tree look as full as possible.  I try to make sure to leave no open spots so it looks like a real tree.

Next, I added some garland.  This is a tip that I got from one of my blogging friends Your Home Based Mom.  If you haven’t seen her tree be sure to stop and check it out! The garland that I used was a copper color with some gold ornaments in it.  You can see the upclose photo below.

Then you’ll want to add your Christmas Balls, I used around 100 to decorate the tree.  The were all different sizes and I used the colors gold and copper for this tree.

Last, fill in with some branches and “fillers”.  Stick these in any open looking space in the tree.  This will really make it look full!

Stand back and enjoy your work!  Maybe even grab a mug of hot chocolate to sip on while you gaze at your beautiful tree!

Here’s what the tree looks like in the last evening.  It’s absolutely stunning and even though it looks amazing in this photo, it’s so much better in person!
