I’m so excited to start Christmas crafting, baking, shopping, decorating and everything else that comes with this amazing holiday! Today I have a super simple craft idea that your kids can even do all along! YES!! This I-Spy DIY Christmas Globe is such a great craft and gift idea for kids!
It’s simple to make and fun to play with. How many times can you find ornaments or Christmas decor that you TELL your kids to have fun with? Very rarely!
How to Make an I-Spy DIY Christmas Globe
Materials You Need
- Mason Jars
- Fake Glittery Snow, Sand or other types of fillers
- Small ornaments, Lego,Toys, candy, and other items to “spy” in the jar
- Ribbon for decorating
Instructions
This is so easy to make! All you need to do is place the snow and little ornaments in the jar and shake it up! Add some of your kids favorite things like Mini Lego People, cars, peppermints, rocks, marbles, etc. You don’t have to go out and buy little ornaments to use in the Christmas Globe, think outside the box and use what you already have on hand!
I put 10 different items in the jar for my boys and told them to try and find them all. I gave them a sheet of paper and had them write down everything they found so I could check it out, plus it gave them some extra writing practice too. I LOVE crafts and projects that are learning as well as fun.
These are so simple to make, you could even have your kids make them on their own for gifts to younger cousins or friends. They will love being involved and creating gifts with their own hands!
What types of crafts and projects are you making this year? I usually only do food and treats but I thought I would have fun with some simple DIY!
