Laundry Room DIY Wall Art
Hey there! Hope you are all having a great week! If you have been following along on the blog, you’ve seen some fun wall art. You might be thinking ‘doesn’t this girl have anything on her walls’…and you know what? You’re kind of right. Hence, all the wall decor lately. The photo above is an Instagram shot.
(I’m prairiegirltosouthernbelle) The laundry room isn’t well lit and I need to brighten it up a bit for you.
I’m working on the laundry room and I wanted metal letters to hang in there. You know what? They are crazy expensive! Here’s how I cut the price.
I started with these letters from Hobby Lobby.  I believe they were $2.49 per letter. Not bad at all.
I gave them a couple good coats of this paint by Martha Stewart. Easy peasy. But they were too perfect looking.
So I rubbed on some antiquing glaze. I’ve had the same bottle for about 5 years or so. So many projects from one bottle!
Perfect! Just the look I was going for. This A is different…it’s for another area in the house but it stood up nice for a picture.Â
Do you have a thing for typography in your house? What creative ways are you finding to slip it in your decor?

make our house a home one idea at a time. When I’m not working on a
project, you can find me playing with the kids, out on a date with my
hubby or making something fun in the kitchen. I love making new
friends so grab a cup of coffee and come on by for a visit!

Easy Easter Cross Craft Project

My girls each have their names spelled out on their walls with wooden letters. It looks cute and helped them learn to spell their names.
