Last weekend, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Macy’s Glamorama in Minneapolis as a media guest. Before I fill you in on all the details at the show, let me tell you a little bit about this big event of the year!
Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama Fashion In a New Light is a fashion show with musical entertainment that is put on each year to raise awareness and money for Children’s cancer. A large portion of your ticket cost goes directly to towards helping the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
In my opinion there is nothing worse than hearing that a child has been diagnosed with cancer. One of my best friends nephews fought this battle just a few years ago and watching the little guy and the family deal with the stress of this nasty disease is terrible. He went through rounds of one of the only treatments available to treat cancer, chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is terrible on an adult’s body, imagine how nasty it is on a little child.
This is where the Children’s Cancer Research Fund comes in, they are working to find alternative methods to treat and cure childhood cancer. By deciding to have a glamorous night on the town in Minneapolis at the Macy’s Glamorama, you are also taking a step on the path to help find those treatments. You really can’t go wrong!
I was extremely excited to be a part of this amazing event! I rarely have the chance to dress up as much as I did that night so that was an extra bonus! Thanks to my friend, Jen, who helped get me ready while she was here visiting from Iowa and ended up watching my boys for a little while!
At the event, I had the chance to sit with one of my other blogger friends, Lindsey. We participated in another charity event earlier in the year together, so it was great to see her again!
At the Macy’s Glamorama Fashion in a New Light, we had the treat of watching a New York style Fashion show with designers like Jean Paul Gautier to Macy’s own fabulous line Maison Jules. The models and the fashion were absolutely beautiful!
We also had performances by Cirque Du Soleil, The Summer Set, and Sheryl Crow! She is an amazing performer, singer and even played the harmonica! It was awesome!
I absolutely loved her outfit, especially the pants! Can you believe that Sheryl is 51? She looks amazing!
The Macy’s Glamorama was an amazing event that has a beautiful cause that they support. Not only are you helping cancer research for children, but you also get to have an amazing night out!
I was provided a ticket by Macy’s to facilitate my posts, but all opinions are my own. Images are courtesy of Adam Bettcher for Macy’s.
It was such a fun night! You looked amazing! 🙂
