M&M Math Science Fair Project

April 17, 2012   |   8 Comments

My Kindergartner is participating in the Science fair at school.  It was optional but he was so excited to have a project {my third grader wanted nothing to do with it}.
He wanted to do something that had to do with math and I wanted to do something that was fairly easy {he is only 6}.  So, he decided to go with M&M Math where he counted the M&M’s to find which color was the most common and least common.
He did all the counting and my hubby helped him figure the percentages and averages.
I helped him make a nice display and took pictures!

He LOVED making a pie graph.
Seriously, who is this kid of mine?
He is going to present this too his class
and compete at the fair on Thursday.

How cute! It surely is a fun idea for a kid to learn, but make sure he doesn't eat too much of those. 🙂

That is so good, esp for a 6 year old to want to participate. I know he will do great at the science fair. Thanks for sharing.
