I love any and every excuse to have a girls party and play with nail polish too. So, I started planning a “Girls Night In” party with some fun Sally Hansen nail polish and of course some yummy food. The problem that I ran into was that I was leaving town for a birthday party so I decided to take my party to my family. My Mom, Sister-in-law and a close family friend and I spend some time pampering ourselves while the guys watched television. Perfect!
Before the party, I ran to Walgreens to pick up some fun new Sally Hansen products for my party. If you haven’t shopped at Walgreens for nail polish, you are missing out! There is a huge selection and you can always shop online at Walgreens.com if you can’t get to a store!
I used my Walgreens Balance Rewards card to take advantage of the deals they have. Check out all the fun stuff that I got, these are the goodies that we used. I also put together fun little gifts for everyone with even more product!
With the Buy One Get One 50% on Sally Hansen Insta Dri and Salon Effects at Walgreens (running until 3/30/13) I racked up major Balance Rewards Points! Starting today (3/17/13), shoppers can get a coupon on the Walgreens app for Salon Effects for even more savings.
I was looking through some of the 2013 Spring Fashion Runway photos to find some inspiration for our nails. I always lean towards black and grey, and my friends try to get me to add color.
I just can’t do it, so I found this gorgeous dress that I loved and decided that a French manicure would go perfectly!
So, let me tell you, that I am NOT a nail artist. This was very clear to me, but there are so many Sally Hansen products that make it easier for people like me to make creative nails on our own! Yep, that’s me, reading the directions! And, even my Dad in the back ground, wishing he could join in. Next time, Dad.
We tried the Sally Hansen Salon Effects on my Mom, first. They were fun, but they didn’t go with your outfit she was going to wear the next day.
Next, we tried a gorgeous color called Greige, it is a fun Grey and beige combination. It needed a little something though.
So, she let me add some fun dots on her ring finger! I like it!
My sister-in-law wanted to do a fun red color that made her hands look beautiful! I had no idea her nails were so nice! Would you have guessed she has even been to Afghanistan to serve our country with these pretties? She isn’t a girly type girl, but I’m working on her, these nails were the first step!
Even though I am not a nail expert, we had so much fun! I even put together a little gift for everyone with lots of fun Sally Hansen nail products.
Of course we had some delicious snacks too! Here is our table with snacks, product and the gift bags.
I made my Ricotta and Parmesan Cheese Spread with some French bread.
We had cupcakes and I made a new recipe for Strawberry Shortcake Sugar Cookie Cups. They were yummy!
