It’s January and the resolutions are in full swing. Let’s be honest, If you aren’t trying to loose weight then you’re probably trying to change to healthy eating habits. New Year and New You is everywhere, it’s a fresh start and everyone is inspired and motivated to make this the year of change.
Everyone starts out strong and committed to making the changes and determined to to stick with their goals this year. “It’s going to be different this year”, am I right? But, it’s hard and we are setting ourselves up to fail again if we don’t have the right mindset and tools to get us through.
Here’s the thing, I’ve never had to worry about my weight. I was that tiny little thing that didn’t weigh 100 pounds when she graduated and when I was pregnant it was just in my stomach. I never thought about what I ate, calories and fat in food gave it flavor. I didn’t need to worry about it, so I didn’t.
Then a couple things happened. I started working at home on the computer, every day. I developed something along the lines of a “bloggy butt”, you know when you sit and eat every day, that growth you develop? Bad things happen people! Bad things! People are not ment to sit and eat all day long, it’s not good!
Another thing happened, I started to get older and I started to think about my health more. I have some nasty genetics that I cannot change and that’s scary! But, it made me start thinking that I CAN change my eating, that I DO have control over.
I started to look into different diets, programs and all sorts of options but I kept remembering back about 10 years ago when my Mom participated in Weight Watchers and the life change that it made for her but I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep track of points or even figure out the point for a meal.
There’s a new exciting program though for people just like me, who want to try Weight Watchers but need a little help before we really commit. There is a new Simple Starts program that is exactly that, Simple! If you have been hesitant about trying Weight Watchers because of counting points this program is perfect and that’s half the battle, finding something that works for you!
Simple Starts gives you food to choose from so you don’t have to try and figure the points or value of just any meal. It’s a great way to “test out” Weight Watchers before jumping in feet first. Simple Starts will tell you the exact ingredients you need to use to make the meal and most of these look amazing! Who wouldn’t want to try and eat healthier with food that looks like this?
There are breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack categories for you to pick your meal from.
