New Years Eve Activity: Time Capsule Questions

December 29, 2013   |   3 Comments

What type of activities do you have planned for New Years Eve?  Are you having a family party and including the kids in the fun?  If you are, we have a really fun kids activity for you to use.  Even if you aren’t having a party or having a crazy celebration, these Year End Time Capsule FREE Printable is the perfect way to keep track of your kids favorite things from the last year.

When I’m looking back on the year that my son was 8 years old and trying to remember all those quirky things that he loved, I can pull this little paper out of my Hope chest or Photo album and see what he wrote down as important to him.

New Years Eve Activity: Year End Time Capsule Questions

All you need to do for this activity is print out our FREE YEAR END Questions sheet and have your kids fill it out.  If they are too young to write, ask them the questions and fill it out for them.  Maybe have them draw a picture on the back of the page to keep as a reminder too.

I had to tell my little guy to think hard before he wrote down answers, I didn’t want to have a sheet that was full of video game and bubble gum answers.

He had to take a little time and put some effort into his answers, being in second grade this was a little difficult for him.

New Years Eve Activity

I love this activity for many reasons, I will always be able to remember his favorite things from 2013!  I also have a snap shot of his handwriting at this age, I love that we will be able to track how it changes at the end of every year.  Plus, it’s a great opportunity to talk and share things from the year.  This will definitely be a yearly activity for us from now on.

What types of things do you do on New Years Eve?  Do you have kids activities like this?  I’d love to hear about them!
