New Years Eve Party with Kids Tips and Ideas
Games and Entertainment for Kids too!
Make sure you have games and entertainment that kids will love! My boys have some great games on their Wii that multiple people can play which makes for some great party entertainment!
Break out the board games for the kids and maybe get adults involved too!
Kids can have HOURS of fun with balloons – make sure to have a bunch blown up for the party!
Drink Options for Kids and those who don’t drink!
Make sure you have drink options for kids and those who don’t drink so they can join in the toast at midnight! My boys LOVE having a Hot Chocolate Bar set up so they can make their own special drink for the evening. It works out great for adults too, they can always add their favorite alcohol to their hot chocolate. It’s a win for everyone!
Have Kid Friendly Snacks and Treats!
Remember that kids don’t care about all those fancy appetizers and foods! Make sure you have snacks and treats that speak their language and something the adults will love too! One of my favorite things to serve is Chex Mix Muddy Buddies® and I LOVE that it comes in some amazing flavors and options like Limited-Edition Snickerdoodle, Limited-Edition Peppermint, Chocolate & Peanut Butter, Cookies & Cream or Brownie Supreme!
All the Flavor Options!
- Limited-Edition Snickerdoodle
- Limited-Edition Peppermint Bark
- Chocolate & Peanut Butter
- Cookies & Cream
- Brownie Supreme
I like to make mine into little premade packages to hand out to the kids on New Years Eve! Chex Mix Muddy Buddies® make it so easy to serve a delicious treat that will save me time in the kitchen so I can create little gifts like these! You can print out your own Happy New Year 2015 Tag to use on your party favors or as cupcake toppers too!
Have an Early Count Down for younger Kids!
If you have little kids at your party and you know they won’t make it until midnight, have an early count down for them! Even if it’s 8 pm and they’re fading fast, have a count down and let them celebrate! There’s nothing wrong with bending a little to make things easier for you and them both!
Make it into a slumber party!
Maybe having a slumber party for the kids and letting them crash early would make things easier for their parents too! Let the kids make a fort in the basement or living room and crash early, parents can pick them up the next day! My boys love having friends over night on New Years Eve and I know it makes it easier for the parents!
Have Fun!
Most importantly HAVE FUN and Be SAFE! Here’s to an awesome New Year!
