Truth time – my oldest boy could live on chocolate and peanut butter. I think there’s a lot of people out there who could say the same thing. The other day, I had promised him that I’d make him cookies after school as a treat but the day got away from me. I’m not sure what happened but I had less then an hour and the boys were going to be in the door.
Now, I typically wouldn’t stress about this and I’d just tell him that I’d make them tomorrow but sadly I had been saying this for a few days. So, I decided to make a quick No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies for them. These are one of their favorites because they are so delicious and I love them because they take minutes to make! Check out the recipe below!
How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies
Ingredients You Need
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 4 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 1 Stick Butter
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 3 Cups Oatmeal
Instructions
Step 1 – Line a baking sheet with Silpat or parchment paper
Step 2 – In a large pan combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter
Step 3 – Bring the cocoa mixture to a boil
Step 4 – Add in the peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal and mix well
Step 5 – Remove the mixture from heat and drop spoonfuls onto your cookie sheets and let them cool before eating!
You could had a 1/2 cup of peanuts too if you want a little more crunch and texture in your no bake chocolate peanut butter cookies. My boys like them without the nuts but I prefer them with but both ways are delicious!
I hope you and your family love these as much as we do!

These taste great but 1 minute is not enough time , they never got hard . So the 2nd time i used a cup of water and did the soft ball stage which they turned out perfect!

This has been my go to recipe for years! Some people use crisco in place of butter, but I usually use the butter like you. My kids love this recipe! One child prefers I omit the cocoa and just end up with peanut butter no bakes. The other prefers the chocolate. I have even substituted coconut for the oats. Awesome post:)

I wish I could make these right now 😉 Pinning so that when I go the store I can buy the ingredients!
These look incredible, Chrissy! Our babysitter gave my boys some similar no-bake cookies a few months ago and the kids devoured them. I’ve been trying to find a recipe to recreate them ever since, and I think this IS IT! So excited! They are definitely dangerous to have sitting around the kitchen, though. 🙂
