Online Internet Safety Tips for Kids

In a world where the Internet and being online are as common as playing in the backyard, it's important as parents that we take just as many precautions to keep our children safe as we would when they decide to ride a bike for the first time, if not more.

You see, there are so many ways that our innocent kiddos could unknowingly stumble into something that scars them for life or worse. From day one they start using a tablet, computer or phone you need to have very strict rules in place as well as parental controls in the home. Deco from tp-link is going to be your new best friend because of how simple it is to set up and take control of the internet and what your kids can and cannot do on it. You can easily connect your kid's device and pick how long they can be online during the day, what time period they can't use their devices too! How smart is this?

Block those terrible sites - when you set up the device you select the age range of the user and then you will be able to select categories you want to be blocked from that user.

Something else that Deco is great for is extending the internet around the house so you have a better signal.  I have one at each of our offices on our main level and one in the basement as well. It covers up to 4500 square feet so we never have to worry about a weak signal.
