We spent the last week in Mexico at an All Inclusive resort for spring break! This was the first trip to Mexico AND an all inclusive vacation as well! Before we left, I was a little unsure of what all I should pack so I now that we’ve been through it and I know better, I thought I would share with you.
What to Pack for a Mexico Vacation
Bathing Suits – pack a couple of them. It’s nice to have a dry suit for late afternoon after you spent the morning in the pool but took a break for lunch. Be sure to pack a couple cover ups too because they get damp!
A Hat – I love sun as much as the next girl, but when I’m trying to read or nap poolside, a little shade on my face is key. I was surprised how much I wore my hat in Mexico and I was so glad that I had it!
Sunglasses – Don’t forget these! The sun is so bright when you’re by the water, you absolutely need sunglasses!
Dresses – I wore a dress every day in Mexico! Make sure to pack plenty of them and the Karina Dresses are fabulous for this because they don’t wrinkle in your suitcase! Seriously, my dress was in the bottom of my bag under everything and I pulled it out and wore it the morning after we got there! I love that! The dress that I’m wearing is the Jenny and there are several different color options!
Flip Flops – Grab a pair of those dollar flip flops for wearing at the pool and beach. You don’t need anything fancy, but you’ll want something to protect your feet that you aren’t worried about getting dirty.
Dressy Sandles – You’ll also want some nicer sandles to wear with your dresses in the evening so be sure to pack a couple pair.
Sunscreen – Don’t forget this! You’ll be surprised how fast you burn!
Bug Spray – We forgot to pack this and actually ended up getting a few bug bites, so I think next time I would try and remember this!
Beach Bag – Bring a bag that you can carry everything back and forth from the pool/beach.
Medications – I am a little paranoid about getting sick but I made sure to bring pain medication, tummy medication, a first aid kit and anything I thought we could possibly use.
If you don’t wear a lot of dresses be sure to pack several pairs of shorts, shirts, etc. I prefer to wear dresses so I only brought one pair of shorts.
Have you been to Mexico or an All Inclusive resort? What things did you take that I haven’t thought of?
I like the dress idea though the cleavage is a little too revealing for a day out w/kids.
