November 17, 2017   |   Leave a Comment

The temperatures are getting a little cooler each day and that means cold and flu season is on the horizon for too many families! Keeping your immune system healthy is one of the most important things we can do to combat all of the germs that are ready to greet you.

Pantry Staples For A Healthy Immune System

Thanks to Maty’s for partnering with me on this post!

This winter I have a well-stocked pantry to promote a healthy immune system. I am going to share a few of my must-have staples with you!

Pantry Staples For A Healthy Immune System

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

It can add great flavor to a variety of dishes, and it is packed with antioxidants that aren’t found in other oils. Antioxidants help to protect and strengthen your immune system to help you fight infection.

Pantry Staples For A Healthy Immune System

Honey

Honey is a great natural sweetener and it can soothe a sore throat as we all know, but it is also an antioxidant powerhouse! Antioxidants are an immune systems BFF!

Pantry Staples For A Healthy Immune System

Sea Salt

Sea salt is a magical mineral! It adds great flavor to any dish and it contains magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc and iodine. These minerals are vital to good health and a strong immune system.

Pantry Staples For A Healthy Immune System

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is so versatile. It can add flavor to many dishes, is the key to an amazing red velvet cake and has so many benefits to your health! Apple cider vinegar has powerful healing compounds, which include acetic acid, potassium, magnesium, probiotics, and enzymes. Keeping it in the pantry is a great idea for good health!

Pantry Staples For A Healthy Immune System

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants and helps fight infections and viruses. Adding a little cinnamon to a number of dishes adds flavor and a boost of health benefits!

Another item I keep in my pantry is Maty’s Organic Cough Syrup. I love that Maty’s products are made with ingredients that are so similar to the things I stock in my pantry for a healthy immune system! Everything ingredient I listed above are in their cough syrups. Fast and drug-free relief is important for my family and keeping a great brand like Maty’s on hand helps me to stay a step ahead for those times that the cold and flu come to visit our house.

Pantry Staples For A Healthy Immune System

Maty’s cough syrup offers alcohol-free relief to soothe dry and irritated throats and promote a good night of rest with natural ingredients. Maty’s Organic Cough Syrups also come in children’s varieties to help families rethink their medicine cabinet with whole food alternatives. They’re packed with 10 immune boosters, so shake them up well if you give them a try!

What are some of your pantry staples for a healthy immune system? Leave me a comment so I can continue to add to my list of healthy pantry must-haves for this cold and flu season!
