Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

February 21, 2015   |   Leave a Comment

Freshness, wrapped up.

It’s summer and the kids are home on break, that means I’m baking and cooking a lot more so they have snacks and treats.  One of their favorite cookies is Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips, I think these are my hubby’s favorite cookies too.  I made a batch over the weekend, part for a neighbor and part for my boys.  They didn’t last long, that’s for sure!

How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients You Need

  • 1 ¼ Cup All Purpose Flour
  • ¾ Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Butter, softened
  • ½  Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Cups Chocolate Chips or Chocolate Candies

Instructions Step 1 – Cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar and peanut butter

Step 2 – Add the egg to the butter mixture and combine well

Step 3 – Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together in a second bowl

Step 4 – Pour the flour mixture into the butter mixture and mix together well

Step 5 – Add the chocolate chips and candies to the mix

Step 6 – Place large scoops 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet and back at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Enjoy! The dozen or so that we made for our neighbors at the cabin I ended up wrapping up in myGladGlad Press’n Seal and adding a little bit of ribbon to make them cute.  It worked so well and I didn’t have to worry about losing a plate or bowl that we gave them.

This recipe made about 5 dozen small cookies that were perfectly sized for little hands to enjoy or for Mom’s who don’t want to feel so guilty for snagging one !

The next time I make these for my family, I’ll be making a double batch.  They went so fast at our house!

Glad Press ‘n Seal is a great product to use for handing out goodies to friends and neighbors, we always have a box at our house.  I end up using it on bowls and leftovers, it really keeps things sealed tight where I don’t have to worry about them.
