Over the last few weeks I have been using and creating a lot of different DIY Beauty Recipes to share with you. It started with my Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss that turned out so amazing that my kids even used it.
Being December and very close to Christmas, I have been using Peppermint in EVERYTHING including these Peppermint Homemade Lotion Bars that only require four ingredients to make them! They are so easy to make and turn out adorable! I’m giving these as gifts to a few people this year, along with several of the other products that I’ve made.
Check out how easy it is to make Homemade Lotion Bars below!
Thank you for posting this recipe!! I want to make it for my friend with bad eczema. What do you recommend as a part- cup? Half cup? Thank you. :0)
I have made a lotion bar for my psoriasis for a few years now. Works wonderfully. I combine beeswax, shea butter, coco butter, coconut oil, and peppermint and tea tree oils. Clears up my psoriasis beautifully!
Is it 1 part grated, solid beeswax? Or one part liquid?
For instance if I’m using 1 cup, would I grate one cup or would I melt beeswax down until I have one cup?
I would always use a scale and weigh out 8 oz. (8 oz.= 1 cup). Then regardless of whether You’re measuring solids or liquid, you always get an accurate measure.
So when your lotion bars are set you then rub the bar over your leg let’s say then just rub in like lotion?
This is a great thing. I have eczema that had been dormant for years and this winter it decides to rear it’s ugly head I am definitely gonna try this.
