Peppermint Pinwheel Pops

December 6, 2016   |   Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies®. As always, all opinions are my own.

The holidays are here at last!  I look forward to this time of year and really enjoy all the baking and treat making that goes along with Christmas.  It’s probably because one of my favorite flavors is peppermint and there’s so many delicious cookies and treats that are peppermint or candy cane like these delicious Peppermint Pinwheel Pops that use Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies®, marshmallows and crushed candy canes.

Not only are they tasty but they’re really cute too.

Peppermint Pinwheel Pops

I love that one of my favorite cereals, Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies®,  is something that I can use in so many of my holiday recipes like our Halloween Candy Bars and Peanut Butter Balls that we put on all our cookie trays each year at Christmas and now these delicious Peppermint treats.

The instructions to make the Pinwheels are below and remember, you can always just make them in a cake pan if rolling into pinwheels is too much work!

How to Make Peppermint Pinwheel Pops

Ingredients You Need

  • 6 Cups of Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies®
  • 1 (10 oz.) Bag of Marshmallows
  • 1/4 Cup Butter + some for greasing a pan
  • 2-3 Candy Canes, crushed
  • 7 oz. Marshmallow Creme

Instructions

Cover a jellyroll pan with parchment or waxed paper.

Butter the paper and set aside.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the marshmallows and butter.

Heat on high for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until they are melted and completely mixed together.

Stir in the candy canes.

Press the mixture into the jelly pan.

Spread the entire jar of marshmallow cream over the Peppermint Rice Krispies®.

Roll up the Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® starting on the long side.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes before slicing. Place a paper straw into each piece, use cellophane treat bag and ribbon to package.

Peppermint Pinwheel Pops

My kids LOVED these treats, I must say that I might have even loved them a little more.  I really like that I can package these and give them as gifts too.  They make a great treat to hand out at school holiday parties or even to stick in a stocking as a stocking stuffer!
