The Secrets to a Lazy Proof Day! Start off your day on the right foot and stay productive all day long!
Get Up Earlier
I know what you’re thinking, if I get up earlier I’ll be tired and lazy in the afternoon. Guys, I promise that it is completely worth it to get up earlier and get the day started. There are a few reasons for this, but for me, it’s mostly because I have fewer distractions.
There are a few reasons for this, but for me, it’s mostly because I have fewer distractions. The kids aren’t up yet and don’t need me so I can focus on projects I need to get done and get them finished in half the time!
Start your day with a good cup of coffee! I can actually sit and enjoy my coffee when I get up earlier. We have a coffee pot with a timer so that the coffee is ready when I first get up in the morning! I can pour a perfect cup of coffee and add my favorite Equal Cafe Creamer and boom, I’m ready to go!
The Equal Cafe Creamers have three of my favorite flavors: Caramel Macchiato, Mocha, and French Vanilla. They’re delicious and only 10 calories per serving so it’s a complete coffee win! It’s also made with real cream.
I like to stock up when I find a coupon that I can use on my grocery trips to Walmart.
Make Your Bed
I know this sounds like a silly task and you’re wondering how that is going to lazy proof your day but let me explain. Making your bed makes you have a more organized environment and gives you a better mental state of mind. Plus, you feel a sense of accomplishment and it really makes you want to continue this trend throughout the day.
As soon as my husband is out of bed, I make the bed and fluff up the pillows!
Start with Your Most Challenging Task
This is fairly obvious, just get it done and off your mind. Instead of procrastinating and dragging your feet about doing the task just get it done! I start with my hardest task as soon as I’ve dressed and have my coffee!
As Mark Twain famously said.
Make a List
I have a really nice planner that I use every single day, It has one column that’s a To-Do list and I write everything down that I need to do for the day. I check things off or cross them off the list as I’m finished.
One tip that really helps me is to make my daily list the night before. So I when I get up in the morning I skim through it and know exactly what needs to be done and where to start.
Equal reminds us: “Sweetness brings us Together”, although I get up early in the morning to get started my husband and I always sit and have a cup of coffee together before he leaves for work. It’s a time that we cherish and look forward to every single day!
