Slow Cooker Homemade Holiday Potpourri

December 6, 2016   |   Leave a Comment

Who loves the scent of the holidays? I’m talking about Holiday Potpourri.  You know – cranberry, cinnamon orange and all those cozy smells that make you want to curl up on the coach and just stare at the Christmas tree.

There’s just something about those scents that make you remember being a kid and all the magic of the holiday. I want my boys to have that same feeling, so I always have these scents going in my slow cooker.

In fact this year we even made little gifts to give to our neighbors with Slow Cooker Homemade Holiday Potpourri and we have a FREE Printable tag to share with you guys today!

What I love about this gift is that it’s something that everyone can use. Plus, look at how cute these tags are!

It couldn’t be easier to make and it’s pretty inexpensive too.  Here’s what you need:

Oranges

Fresh Cranberries

Cinnamon Sticks

Cellophane Treat Bags

Bakers Twine – or any ribbon really

Place the Cranberries in the bottom of your cellophane treat bag, add the cinnamon sticks next and the orange on top.  Tie with Bakers Twine and add the tag.  Give the gift of amazing Holiday Scents!

We gave these to our neighbors but it also makes a great teachers gift, mail man, beautician, or anyone that you want to give a simple little gift to.  I know they’ll love it and it will become their go to holiday feel good scent!

I have a small slow cooker that I have out on my counter during the holidays all the time so that I can always have my holiday potpourri filling the house with the amazing scent.  My slow cooker is even red so that it fits in with the holiday decor!

Here’s a link to the slow cooker that I use – Small 2 Quart Slow Cooker
