Strawberry Moscato Lemonade

July 8, 2014   |   18 Comments

Is there really any drink more refreshing than a delicious homemade lemonade?  Doesn’t it kind of feel like summer in a glass?

Strawberry Lemonade makes me think of all those sunny summer days in the backyard with family and friends enjoying BBQ’s, picnics and all those delicious drinks together that spill over into the evening because you lose track of time.  It really doesn’t get any better than good food, drinks and company in the perfect sunny summer weather.

Today I made a Strawberry Moscato Lemonade that brings together two of my favorite drinks: Moscato and Strawberry Lemonade.  This drink has got to be one of the most refreshing and delicious drinks I’ve ever had and it’s so easy to make!

Make sure you check out our Pineapple Moscato Sangria if you love delicious summery sangria recipes!

How to Make Strawberry Moscato Lemonade

Ingredients You Need

1 Bottle of Mirassou Moscato Wine

1 cup sugar

1 cup of water

1 pint fresh strawberries

1 cup fresh lemon juice

Instructions

Step 1 – Make a simple syrup by combining the sugar with 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Place over medium heat and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let cool.

Step 2 – Once the simple syrup has cooled, puree strawberries in a blender.

Step 3 – In a large pitcher, combine strawberry puree, simple syrup and lemon juice.

Step 4 – Add 4 cups of Mirassou Moscato Wine.

Step 5 – Serve over ice. If desired, garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon slices.

Doesn’t this recipe just scream summer?  I promise if you serve this at a BBQ or picnic, you’re going to be a rock star host and everyone will want the recipe!  It’s so darn good!

I’m going to be completely honest with you, I use Mirassou Moscato in several of my drinks because I love it.  It’s a light-bodied and delicious wine that really gives my recipes the flavor I’m looking for. If you’ve never tried Mirassou Moscato, let me tell you a little bit about it and why I love Mirassou so much.

Mirassou Moscato really captures the essence of summer with the intense fruit aromas of orange blossom, peach, ripe pineapple and citrus. These bright and fruit-forward aromas extend to the palate through luscious flavors of sweet tropical fruit, mandarin orange and honey, all wrapped in a delightful acidity.

What flavors do you think of with summer?  Orange, peach, pineapple and all the delicious fruits included in this amazing wine.  This is precisely why it’s the perfect summer wine that I turn to during these sunny hot months. Let’s get real, I use it all year round because it’s amazing!

Another little tip I have for you this summer.  If you don’t want to add ice to your wine and have it get watered down, simply freeze little wine cubes in an ice tray and add those to your drink instead.  Give it a try when you make this yummy Strawberry Moscato Lemonade!
