November 17, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we found some great tips, tricks, hacks and even a few delicious recipes that you need to know before the big marathon day of baking and cooking!  We have everything from how to wash your potatoes in the dishwasher to the perfect side dish recipe options that your guests will love!  Check them all out below!

 Thanksgiving Tips and Hacks

Thanksgiving Tips You Need to Know!

Wash Your Potatoes in the Dishwasher– Do you plan to make 50 pounds of potatoes and need to wash them first?  Run them through the dishwasher without soap!  Genius!!

Candy Bacon Stuffing Muffins by Foodtastic Mom

Bacon Candy Stuffin Muffins – Yep, you heard me right!  Make these individual Stuffin Muffins so that you have a little bit of crunch in every portion of stuffing, cause we all know that’s the best part!

Slow Roast the Turkey Overnight – I do this every time if I don’t make the turkey the day before.  When it’s done cooking, I place it in a slow cooker on low with all the juices to keep it delicious and moist!

Make as much as you can in your SLOW COOKER!  This is a huge time saver for me, I spend less time in the kitchen babysitting pots and pans if I use my slow cooker for as much as possible!

Try Grating Your Butter in recipes like pie crust and those that need cold butter cut into them.  This is a FABULOUS IDEA that works amazingly well!

Microwave Potatoes made in Minutes – I have to admit, I’ve NEVER tried this but it sounds handy!

Three Tiered Oven Rack – this is slightly genius! I had no idea such a thing even existed!

Have activities for the Kids like our Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt or even the Thanksgiving Place mats that will keep them busy and having fun while you’re in the kitchen prepping the meal!
