The Best KitchenAid Attachments For Your Kitchen

April 12, 2018   |   1 Comment

One appliance that gets used almost daily in my house is our KitchenAid Mixer and the KitchenAid Attachments.  Whether it’s making a cake or whipping potatoes, it’s always in use.  I can remember when my Mom got me my first KitchenAid Stand Mixer, it was 15 years ago!  Wow!  To think, I’ve been using it for that long.

Do you know all the amazing things you can do with your KitchenAid?  My Mom crushed wheat berries and made her own flour!  No, joke.  You can even grate cheese or make homemade ice cream!  I thought I would share with you some of the awesome attachments that you really must have for your KitchenAid.

P.S. Before purchasing any attachments, make sure that they work with the model that you have! I accidentally purchased the wrong attachment once and was super disappointed! Just check your model before buying any!

The BEST KitchenAid Attachments

Scraper Paddle – I do a lot of baking and one thing I dislike about the regular paddle is that it doesn’t get close enough to the sides.  This Scraper Paddle eliminates that problem by scraping down the side so all the mixture is incorporated in.

KItchenAid1

Dough Hook – The second most used attachment at our house is the dough hook, we make a lot of breads and rolls so this eliminates the need for me to Knead the dough by hand.  It’s great!

KitchenAid2

Ice Cream Maker – Who doesn’t love ice cream?! I remember my Grandma making homemade ice cream when I was a kid.  It was the best!  Which this KitchenAid attachment, you can turn your kitchen into an ice cream shop where you make your own flavors for your family!

kitchenaid3

Pasta Maker – This is the next attachment on my list of MUST HAVE KitchenAid Attachments.  I love pasta and can only imagine how much fun it would be to make my own homemade!  Who’s used this and loves it?

KitchenAid4

Grinder – You can make everything from ground beef to cheese with this attachment.  Different mixtures for your hamburgers, including the beef, onion, garlic.  There are a ton of different ways you can use this Grinder Attachment for the KitchenAid.

kitchenaid5

Whisk – This is a pretty basic attachment that comes with your KitchenAid but it’s absolutely essential.  You really need it for whipping eggs, frosting, etc.  I use this on a weekly basis.

KitchenAid6

Food Processor – Instead of having several tools and appliances, this attachment is a Food Processor!  Save space in your cabinets and make all those recipes where you need to have a food processor.

Kitchenaid7

Slicer/Shredder – This is a great attachment for shredding cheese.  I was always grabbing my hand grater and spending tons of time shredding our cheese but this KitchenAid attachment makes it easy and done in a snap!

Kitchenaid Attachment

Spiralizer – My boys love this one!  We can peal, core and cut an apple in minutes!  It’s genius!  I love using it on Zucchini and making zoodles for our soup and salads! It’s such a healthy alternative to regular noodles! If you’re on the Whole 30 diet, you MUST have this attachment to make zoodles!

Kitchenaid9

Citrus Juicer – Make homemade Orange Juice at home!  Wow your friends with the fresh taste and show them just how easy it is to make!

Kitchenaid10

Extra Bowl – This isn’t exactly an attachment, but I have an extra bowl on hand.  I use my stand mixer so much that a lot of times the bowl is in the dishwasher.  I like having a second one around. I really like using a glass bowl on my KitchenAid, that way I can see how everything is getting incorporated and if anything at the bottom is needing a little help into the mixture.

Kitchenaid11

Pouring Shield – Prevent your flour and powdered sugar from ending up all over the counter with this pouring shield!  It’s a lifesaver and one of my favorite KitchenAid Attachments!
