Blake is back with the best vacation spots for kids. These are his favorite places that he’s been over the years and thinks that any kid would love a vacation to one of these destinations. Make sure to check out his awesome video from Pigeon Forge at the bottom!
Hey guys! I hope you’re having a great week and are enjoying reading my articles! I have lots more to share with you so be sure to check back for my most recent posts! I think that I’m pretty lucky, my parents love to travel and I’ve gotten to see a lot of cool places in my 12 years of life. I haven’t made it to Europe yet but that is someplace I really want to go! Until then, these are my favorite vacations and the best places to travel with kids! I hope you can visit sometime soon!
Five of the BEST Vacation Spots for Kids
Orlando, Florida
I love visiting in Florida because it is normally warm and every time I’ve gone we went to theme parks like Disney World and Universal Studios. It is a great time for people of any age, but if you do go note that some of the rides can be “scary” for younger kids so I think that Disney World would be better for the younger.
We’ve been to Disney World A LOT! In fact, last year we took my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins with us on their FIRST ever visit! It was a BLAST! My favorite part is the rides of course but when I was younger I LOVED the Jedi Training Academy.
I have a special spot in my heart for Universal Studios because that’s where Harry Potter is! It’s an entire experience of its own so make sure to visit and have a Butterbeer while you’re there! YUM!
Florida isn’t just about the theme parks, there are tons of other places to visit besides Orlando but I haven’t seen many of them yet so I’m going to say that Orlando is one of my favorite places to vacation.
Phoenix, Arizona
My grandparents spend the winter in Mesa, AZ so it is an excuse for everyone in the family to head down south. There are also a lot of fun activities like the Camelback mountains, there are a couple Zoo’s to visit, Superstition Mountains are near my Grandparents and much more!
A word of wise for Camelback mountains, this is SERIOUS hiking. Don’t go in flipflops planning to tackle this mountain and make sure to bring lots of water. I have gone a couple times now and we have not made it to the top yet. It’s a beast!
The Smoky Mountains
The Smoky Mountains area is pretty cool, we would hike every single morning in the mountains and then find something to do in the afternoon that was in town. There are so many places to visit in the Smoky Mountains, we stayed at Pigeon Forge and had a blast!
Make sure you check out the indoor skydiving! I had NEVER tried this but boy was it fun!! I think it probably feels like the real thing, and the closest my Mom will let me get to Sky Diving!!
The area is pretty cool though if you are to go I recommend the downhill water ball roll at Outdoor Gravity Park (check out our video below). It is kind of spendy though, but it is a good time you can also have a GoPro to record the experience.
Canada
Most people expect the trip to be cold, but if you go in the summer it will probably be cold in the morning and HOT in the afternoon. The highlights of the trip will probably be waking up at the crack of dawn and fishing for 4 hours then catching a 3 foot long northern. If you love fishing, like me, this is going to be an amazing trip for you! Where we stay, there’s not a whole lot else to do so be sure to check your resort if you want to do more than fishing.
We’ve been going to Birchdale Lodge for five years now, my Grandpa has been going there for the last 15 years. It’s kind of a tradition that I’ve grown to love and look forward to every summer. We usually go with my Aunt & Uncle too and it’s so much fun! My Aunt loves to do crazy things with me like take a boat out canoeing or grab the kayaks and head across the lake.
Cancun, Mexico
Mexico is one of my favorite places to vacation. There’s just something about being at the beach that’s so relaxing! I’ve only stayed in Cancun but I really liked it! The resort was all-inclusive, that means I could eat as much as I wanted AND drink all the virgin Miami Vise drinks that I could! Those are so delicious!
Make sure that you take lots of sunscreens and plan to be in the pool and ocean all day long! I think that most resorts have equipment that you can use for snorkeling, paddle boarding and more. There’s lots to do!
If I didn’t mention my Disney Cruise as one of my favorite vacations this wouldn’t be a true list. It’s hands down one of the best trips I’ve ever taken! I think I love cruising in general but add in the Disney aspect and the fact that we were there for Marvel Day at Sea and I’m in heaven! In fact, I wrote an entire post about it if you want to check it out!
So there you have it friends some of my personal favorite vacations, I hope you enjoyed these tips and see you in another post. And as always have a wonderful rest of your day. Peace Out.
