The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is a beautiful luxury family vacation resort that we had the privilege to stay at on our trip to Phoenix, Arizona last December. It’s a resort that has everything from Amazing Dining to Beautiful rooms that feel like home but a little nicer!
Disclosure: I was thrilled to partner with Visit Phoenix on this post but please remember that all thoughts and opinions are my own. We share locations and destinations that we believe would make wonderful vacations!
We had the chance to leave the fridged temperatures in Iowa for a week and visit Phoenix, Arizona. The weather on our trip was nothing short of perfection, 80’s the entire trip! We couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Christmas break was a quiet week for us, so we decided to head to Arizona for some fun and to visit family. The first part of our trip we stayed at The Hyatt, this resort had a little of everything. We spent time at the pools relaxing and even had an amazing Wine Me Dine Me meal where we watched the food be prepared right in front of us. I’ll share more details about this below!
Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch
The AMAZING Property
The stunning desert retreat, Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is the perfect place to escape to during the winter months! You can immerse yourself in the oasis-like hotel during a family vacation and experience the luxury services that define this resort and spa!
Enjoy stunning lake views from your guestroom, play 27-holes of championship golf, or dine al fresco as you gaze at the majestic McDowell Mountains from our open-air lobby restaurant and bar.
Take advantage of the StayFit Gym, rejuvenating spa and poolside cabanas at the 2.5-acre water playground with 10 pools.
Their Adventure Activity team is ready to arrange hot air balloon rides, desert adventure tours, and exciting family outings.
Make sure you take a ride on the Gondola Boat ride in the evening while you’re there – it’s located down near the waterfront of the hotel.
The AMAZING Accommodations
If you ask my boys, their favorite part of the hotel rooms was the ginormous flat screen TV’s in each room. They had a movie night while my hubby and I dined out complete with popcorn and snacks. They were in heaven and we had a quiet adult night together!
Our suite had an amazing balcony with a breathtaking view of the mountains! All our stylish accommodations include the plush Hyatt Grand Bed®, free Wi-Fi, large-screen HDTVs, iHome stereos with iPod® docking stations, and a refrigerator too. They’re the perfect home away from home.
While the boys had delicious candy and snacks for their movie, we had an amazing cheese tray that was full of my favorites! I think the asparagus was amazing and probably my favorite part of this tray!
The AMAZING Dining
My husband and I had the chance to spend an evening out together at the Southwest Bistro located in the Hyatt, we had the “Wine Me, Dine Me” experience that I HIGHLY recommend! It’s a culinary journey with Chef Juan and his staff who will take you deep into the heart of fresh and authentic Southwestern flavors.
We had a four-course menu that was complete with tequila and wine pairings. It’s a fun experience where you can see, smell and taste some of the things that make the southwest cuisine so unique!
We started with scallops that were cooked to perfection, next had a delicious Pablano pepper and corn soup with a hint of cilantro. The soup was delicious, creamy and all the things you expect from a southwest soup!
Each of the four courses had the perfect pairing, starting with a tequila and ending with the perfect dessert wine. I think my favorite was the dessert wine because it was a little bit sweeter than the rest – that’s my type of wine!
Our main dish was a fabulous pork chop that was cooked to perfection. Being from Iowa, we know good pork chops and this one was one of the best around! It’s easy to get a pork chop that’s way to done and ends up dry and flavorless, this pork chop was moist and delicious with every single bite!
How amazing does this chocolate mousse look with a raspberry jelly on top – the pastry chef at the Hyatt does magic with desserts. This was the perfect note to end on for our four-course meal, the perfect size, and flavor that was amazing!
I didn’t have a chance to experience the Spa while I was there but they do have a multitude of spa services to enjoy as well!
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch was one of my all-time favorite places to stay ever. Make sure it’s on your list of places to stay when you Visit Phoenix!
