With Earth Day right around the corner I was thinking about ways that I reuse and upcycle everyday items around the house. One of the most common items that I think we all have are jars, pickle jars, mayo jars, mason jars, lots of jars. I end up using my jars for so many different things and thought I would share my favorite three mason jar upcycle ideas with you! Check these out!
Three Ways to Upcycle mason Jars
Mason Jar Sun Tea – This is one of my favorite ways to use my jars, I can make an individual sun tea for myself by sticking a couple tea bags and water into the jar then let it brew out in the sun for about an hour. All I have to do is bring it in, add some ice and enjoy. I’m the only one in the family that drinks sun tea so this is a great way to make a small batch for myself!
Mason Jar Vase – I absolutely love using old jars as a flower vase. It such a rustic and cute look. it’s a great way to upcycle those jars!
Upside Down Mason Jar Salad – These are great to make several for the week and have lunch ready to go. By layering the salad upside down in the jar, starting with the dressing in the jar first, you won’t end up with a mushy salad. I love these, it’s very handy and if I make them ahead for the week I eat so much healthier!
These are just a couple of the ways that we upcycle jars at our house. How do you use them?
Cleaning Your Craft Area on #EarthDay
I wanted to share a new cleaning product that I’ve started using around the house, it’s a great Earth Day option too! Green Works is one of my go to cleaners that’s really handing to clean up my counters before I work on a project or take photos.
I love using the Green Works cleaning wipes when I accidentally spill things when I’m in a photo shoot and need to get a mess out of view quickly. They’re great to have on hand! Green Works All-Purpose Cleaner is my favorite for cleaning down my craft counter at the end of the day when I’ve created quite a mess!
Another great #EarthDay cleaning product that I love is the Laundry Detergent! Green Works gets my kids clothes so clean! We love it!
