Tips for Helping Your Son Develop His Own Hairstyle

June 11, 2018   |   Leave a Comment

Is your son getting to an age where he needs and wants to develop his own hairstyle? I have helped my son for years, but now it’s time he learns how to create and develop his own hairstyle. Here are some tips for helping your son with this!

Tips for Helping Your Son Develop His Own Hairstyle

Boys Hairstyle Tips

#1. Get a feel for what he likes.

Your son is completely capable of knowing what he likes or doesn’t like. Ask him questions to help him understand his likes and dislikes a lot more. My son doesn’t always have an opinion, so I had to do a little digging. After a short little chat session, we both had a better idea of what he’d like for his own personal style.

#2. Show him pictures.

If your son isn’t a verbal type person, when it comes to understanding his style, here’s an idea. Try showing him pictures of potential hairstyles that he’ll love. Even if your son has short hair or long hair, there are plenty of hairstyles to go around. Spend some time showing him pictures of hairstyles he may just love.

#3. Get the right products for the new hairstyle.

Now that your son knows what he wants in a hairstyle, now you can progress to the next step. You need to find the right product for the new hairstyle. I wanted to go with a hair product that would help develop my son’s confidence. That’s why we went with AXE Hair Products. The AXE pomade, clay, putty, paste and cream from CVS was just what he needs to make his hair look like he wants it to. This summer he is going to look great and he knows it.

#4. Do a little styling session.

After you have brought the tools and your son has brought the confidence, it’s time to do a little styling session. Guide him to help him complete his hairstyle! It may not be perfect at first, but it will get better. Give him compliments to help him boost his confidence for all those grad parties and summer events he’ll be attending. Your son is growing up and this is just one more milestone that you have to be proud of him for.
