I wanted to take a little time to not only tell you about Duluth, Minnesota but the amazing hotel that we stayed at on our trip. Duluth is right on Lake Superior and there are some amazing things to see and do while you’re there. We were lucky enough to stay at Comfort Suites Canal Park that was right on the water. It was beautiful!
Our room was on the main floor and we have a lake side view with a little patio that we could sit out on. It happened to be that while we were there, it was really cold and windy so we were bummed to not be able to take advantage of the patio much. But, I could imagine coming during the hot months of the summer and using this a lot, sitting out and watching the water. Sounds supper relaxing!
We had a room with a king sized bed and a small sitting area that was right beside the windows, it was the perfect little morning hang out when I was checking email and working. I had a great view of the lake and people walking on the trail. It was great!
Not only was the Comfort Suite Canal Park very clean with fabulous staff, it had the BEST location in Duluth! Seriously, you couldn’t get any better! Right out the door there were several restaurants, the lift bridge was about a block to walk to and even things like the bike rental that was literally steps away! Since we were on a get away without the kids, my hubby and I didn’t take the bikes out but I’m betting the next time we come with the kids they will be all over these!
Just a short distance from Duluth is Gooseberry Falls, where you can spend time hiking to the lower and upper falls for some breathtaking nature photo shots. The first time we came to Duluth was in April and the falls were mostly frozen, so it was great to see them when there wasn’t a blizzard happening!
Split Rock Lighthouse is another great attraction that you have to go see when you’re in Duluth. It has some great history and is so interesting to see and learn about!
We ended up having a great time on our weekend getaway to Duluth, MN and the stay at Comfort Suite Canal Park made it even more amazing. We were so lucky to have such an awesome room with great views! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Duluth!
