If you’ve been following along with The Taylor House, you know that I am obsessed with these simple Lotion Bars that I’ve been making. We made a very festive Peppermint Lotion Bar for the Holidays and when my family came down with terrible stuffy noses and coughs I made a Eucalyptus Lotion Bar to help ease some of the yucky feeling they had.
Today I have a great Valor & Panaway Lotion Bar that’s great to those achy backs out there. These are my two favorite essential oils to use when I have a sore back from sitting at the computer for too long and I always ask my massage therapist to use these on me when I’m getting a massage. They’re fabulous and so easy to make!
How to Make Valor & Panaway Lotion Bars for Sore Backs
What You Need
- 1 Part Beeswax
- 1 Part Coconut Oil
- 1 Part Shea Butter
- 6-8 Drops Valor Essential Oil
- 6-8 Drops Panaway Essential Oil
- Mold of some sort
Instructions
Place all the ingredients except the Essential Oil in a double boiler on the stove and completely melt everything. Add the Valor & Panaway Oil to the mixture and mix well. Pour the oil mixture (carefully) into your forms and let it harden up. I stuck mine in the refrigerator for a couple hours before removing from the pan. Store in a Ziplock Bag or other sealed container.
When you’re ready to use, simply rub the lotion bar over your body. These provide such great moisture, I prefer them over lotion.
These make great gift ideas too, package them up with a rice pack or heating pad and give to someone you love!
