Where to Get Free and Discounted Holiday Cookies on December 4 (+ Recipes)!
It seems like there's a national day for everything, but I can get behind this one: National Cookie Day is on December 4th! Many specialty cookie shops are giving discounts, and several fast-food chains are giving away free cookies. Here's where you can score yours:
- Cheryl's Cookies - This is the only place I've purchased cookies from online. My mom has given me some for various holidays, and I've sent some back to her. They are pretty standard but tasty (love their buttercream frosting), and the designs are just really cute and festive. They keep for a while, and my kids like them. If you use code HNCD, you can get $20 off $60, $30 off $80, and $50 off $150. They also have some holiday cookie gifts discounted.
- Chip City Cookies - Anyone with the Chip City app can use the promo code CHOCOLATE at checkout for pick-up orders to get a free cookie.
- Cookies by Design - They don't have a Cookie Day-exclusive promo, but if you use CMAS20, you can get 20% off their holiday gifts for Christmas and Hanukkah. Their designs are adorable and for a variety of occasions.
- Dirty Dough - 20% off any size order of chocolate chip cookies

- Great American Cookies - Only in-stores, you can get 1 free when you buy five
- Insomnia Cookies - If you order 12 cookies online, you get 12 free (or in-stores buy 6 and get 6 free).
- Johnny Rockets - Get a free chocolate chip cookie in-store with any order or purchase from Dec. 4 - 8 (just mention the promo).
- Levain - Free shipping on 12-packs of cookies.
- Tiff's Treats - They are giving away a free cookie in-store and offering 30% off online orders (Dec. 4 - 10) with the code HOLIDAY 30.
- REAL Cookies - This store specializes in vegan, gluten- and grain-free cookies. 20% off online orders Dec. 4 - 10 with code CookieWeek2023.
