You can find wine corks at your local craft store, or just use ones that you have saved. Any size works great!

Directions:
1. Begin by cutting your wine corks into fourths. You will need a serrated knife to do this. Carefully saw the cork into fourths until you have a handful of round discs.

2. You can now begin gluing your discs to create the candy cane shape. Simply add a dab of hot glue to the side of the discs and line them up into the candy cane arch. Press gently as you attach them so the glue adheres well.
3. Set your candy cane aside to dry. Once it is dry and the pieces are secure, you can paint the corks. We dabbed a little craft paint on our finger and blotted it onto the various discs. You can do the same, using any color combo you wish.
4. When your paint is dry, you can attach the ribbon or twine for hanging. Simply cut a length and tie it on.

Your wine cork candy cane ornament is now complete. Hang it on your tree or give it as a gift. As you can see, it makes the perfect frugal yet festive craft. Give it a try!
