About
Welcome to The Taylor House
Hi, I'm Chantelle - and I'm so glad you're here.
The Taylor House was originally created in 2011 by Chrissy Taylor, who grew this site into a trusted resource for easy, family-friendly recipes. Over the years, she partnered with major brands, contributed to national publications, and inspired home cooks with her warm, approachable style.
In April of this year, I stepped into the role of owner and recipe creator. My goal is to honor the strong foundation Chrissy built while bringing a fresh, nourishing, and more refined direction to The Taylor House-one that reflects my own love for simple, home-cooked meals.
My Story
I grew up in a Middle Eastern home where food meant connection, celebration, and family. My mom cooked everything from scratch-vibrant meals filled with flavor, nutrition, and love. From her, I learned early on that food is one of the most meaningful ways we take care of the people we love.
I've called Oregon home my entire life, growing up in a place that cherishes fresh, local ingredients and gathering around the table. That upbringing shaped so much of who I am today and continues to fuel my love for creating simple, nourishing meals.
In college, I was a student-athlete, which helped me understand how much wholesome, homemade food affects our health, energy, and daily life. That experience deepened my appreciation for real ingredients and meals that support an active, busy lifestyle.
After college, my passion for cooking grew even more. I spent countless hours in the kitchen-experimenting with new dishes, baking treats for family gatherings, and preparing meals to share with friends. Those moments of connection are what encouraged me to begin sharing my recipes more intentionally.
When I'm not in the kitchen, you can usually find me on a long run, playing tennis, or hosting family and friends. These parts of my life inspire the way I cook today-simple, feel-good food designed to bring people together.
