Halloween Treats: After School Spooky Swamp Snack

October 27, 2016   |   Leave a Comment

Sponsored post by Mirum. All opinions are my own

This Spooky Swamp Snack is the perfect after school snack  for your little boys and ghouls. A terrifying spine-tingling swamp in a cup oozing with creatures and the unknown. You can either build the swamp when your little goblins get home from school or surprise them with it as they walk in the door.

Follow along to see how to brew up your own Halloween treat for your school worn creepers. This would also make a great addition to your Halloween party.spooky-after-school-snack

Head over to Kroger and grab these items for your spooky after school snack…

  • Snack Pack Chocolate Pudding
  • Oreo’s
  • Swedish Fish
  • Sour Patch Kids
  • Fanta Orange

I also grabbed some edible eyes, vampire teeth, and Halloween teeth to spook it up some more.

To create your own spooky swamp:

Place 1-2 Oreos for each treat in a plastic bag, crush them with a wooden spoon, rolling pan,  or the back of a pan.

Sprinkle Oreo’s over the top of an open Chocolate Snack Pack Pudding.

Pop in Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids, and candy eyes..this swamp is full of creepy features!

To finish off the swamp I added welcome and warning signs with a mini popsicle stick and scrap paper, you can also a toothpick or cut down a skewer. Tape your sign to the post.

My kids were definitely creeped out in a fun way when they saw what was waiting for them. Topped off with a glass of Orange Fanta it was a spectacularly spooky treat!
