How to Make Irish Coffee At Home

March 8, 2018   |   5 Comments

Do you know how to make Irish Coffee at Home? It’s easier than you might think and only requires a few ingredients that you quite possibly could have on hand! This delicious and creamy adult coffee is the perfect treat to make on St. Patty’s Day!

Make sure to add this iconic Irish coffee drink to your St. Patricks Day menu or as an after-dinner drink any time of the year! You’ll love sipping this delicious coffee! Make sure to check out our Shamrock Shake too while you’re here! You can even make it as an adult drink!

How to Make Irish Coffee At Home

I usually love super sweet drinks and cocktails, this one is actually a little deceiving because it LOOKS like it will be a sweet treat but it’s actually not. It does have some sweetness to it but not much (pretty much just the whipped cream) and if you’ve never had an Irish Coffee you might be surprised!

If you do like a sweeter version, you can add more brown sugar to the drink and make it to your likings!

How to Make Irish Coffee At Home

Irish Coffee is the perfect beverage to make on St. Patty’s Day morning OR we like to make it after supper in the evenings on special occasions too. I remember first having this delicious coffee on a cruise during a vacation of ours and I was immediately hooked and wanted to make my own version at home! It was so much easier than I thought it would be to make and just kept making it for myself and hubby!

TIPS on How to Make Irish Coffee at Home

Use a good whiskey, I like Jameson. There’s a ton of different options but I’ve found that a good whiskey is a key to this drink!

Try using a strong coffee, I once made this drink with a milk coffee and it wasn’t the same! Trust me!

Use a combination of granulated sugar and brown sugar to give this drink the perfect sweetness.

TOOLS YOU NEED FOR THIS DRINK:

Irish Coffee Mugs – I love these glass coffee mugs, you’re able to see the beautiful drink that’s in the mug!

Coffee – Remember to grab a strong brew for this drink!
