Summer Strawberry Salad

June 16, 2017   |   Leave a Comment

Welcome to summer! It’s time to break out the grill, plan your BBQ’s and let the kids get messy while they eat ice cream, hot dogs or in this case – strawberry fruit salad!

I’m going to admit that as a Mom, and knowing that my kids were going to trash their clothes eating some foods or playing in the dirt – I would get a bit of anxiety. I mean, I love my kids to wear super cute outfits when we get together with friends and family for a BBQ – but I don’t want them getting stained up either. I also didn’t want to be that Mom who didn’t let her kids have any fun because I wanted them to stay clean.

After years of raising boys through the summer months, my number one tip for this is to plan ahead by using Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster and then let them have fun!

Seriously, let them be kids knowing that if they get messy you will be able to get the stains out!

You can sit back and relax because you have a secret weapon in your back pocket!

You will get more out of summer (and life) because you have the confidence of a Clorox 2® clean.

Not only can you use it through the wash, you can actually pre-treat with it to remove even more stains. When you pair Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster with your favorite detergent, you can actually remove 4X more stains and brighten 2X more than using detergent alone.

You can save stained clothes even after they’ve gone through the dryer. Pre-treat with Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster, then wash as usual with your favorite detergent.

Using Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster extends the life of your wardrobe and keeps your clothes looking brighter and newer longer.

Clorox also offers Clorox 2® Free and Clear, a formula made without dyes or perfumes, ensuring gentleness for sensitive skin.

General Stain Removal

  1. For best results, wash stained items as soon as possible. Begin by scraping away excess stain and then rinse the stain with a little cool water. Be careful not to rub the stain further into the fabric.
  2. Apply Clorox 2® Stain Remover and Color Booster directly to the stain, and rub in.
  3. Wait 10 minutes – use a timer and don’t let the product dry on the fabric.
  4. Wash immediately in hot water (or the warmest water temperature recommended on the care label) using detergent and more Clorox 2® product.

After washing, air dry the item and check for success!

How to get out Blackberries/Berry Stains

First, blot or wipe away the excess stain and then rinse with cool water before pretreating. For colored items (or white items with spandex), pretreat the stain with liquid Clorox 2® Stain Remover and Color Booster. Apply a little directly to the stain, rub it in, and wait 10 minutes (set a timer) before washing in the hottest water recommended using detergent and more Clorox 2® product. Air dry.

We wanted to share our favorite Summer Strawberry Fruit Salad with you too! This is a great recipe to make as a side salad or a dessert. It tastes like cheesecake with fruit mixed in! It’s so good and our go-to fruit salad to make during the summer!

Summer Strawberry Salad

Strawberry Summer Fruit Salad

Ingredients You Need

  • 1 8 oz block of cream cheese
  • 1 3.5 oz box of vanilla pudding (I used French Vanilla)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Pound Strawberries halved
  • 3-4 Cups Blueberries

Instructions

Using a stand mixer, mix together the cream cheese, pudding and cup of milk until you have a smooth mixture. Next, cut your strawberries and place them and the blueberries in a medium bowl. Pour the topping over the berries and mix together well. Enjoy!!

Summer Strawberry Salad

We’ve used bananas in this recipe too and it’s really good. Just remember that bananas tend to brown a bit so to serve the salad right away if you add them.
