Did you know that families spend four times the amount of time together on Saturdays and Sundays than on weekdays? That only makes sense with work, school, sports and all the other crazy activities we have going on during the week. There’s times when I feel like it’s been days since I’ve talked to my kids because of everything they have going on! I hate that!
When the weekends roll around, I want to make our time together extra sweet and memorable so I usually try to make a special recipe or dessert for the boys. What else says “I Love You” like a Brownie Sundae Cake? The boys were in heaven when I made this extra special dessert for them last weekend! It’s so easy to make too! Check it out!
How to Make a Brownie Sundae Cake
Ingredients You Need
- 1 Brownie Mix
- 1 Bottle of Hershey’s Syrup
- 1 Pint Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream
- Whip Cream
Step 1 – Prepare the brownie mix according the the instructions on the box
Step 2 – Divide the batter into 2 – 8 inch round cake pans (they will be thin layers) and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes
Step 3 – Let the brownies cool completely before building your cake
Step 4 – Start with a layer of brownie on the bottom and top with the ice cream
Step 5 – Next, Pour a layer of Hershey’s Syrup over the ice cream
Step 6 – Top with the second layer of brownie
Step 7 – Add the whip cream on top with more Hershey’s Syrup and sprinkles. Top with Cherries to give it that Ice Cream Sundae look!
Rich and smooth Hershey’s Syrup is delicious on ice cream or frozen yogurt treats, mixed in milk or used in recipes. Hershey’s Syrup is available in a variety of flavors including chocolate, Special Dark chocolate, strawberry and caramel. We LOVE using Hershey’s Syrup in our house! My boys make chocolate milk with it, add it to their ice cream, cake toppings and so much more! It’s one of those things that is always on my shopping list!
