Cooking With Kids: Protein Smoothie For Kids

As a Mom of two active boys, I’m always looking for quick and easy recipes to get nutrition in their diets.  It’s especially important in the morning to get them out the door with a Delicious Breakfast that will fuel their little bodies until lunch time.

Finding Healthy Smoothie Recipes that don’t have strawberries and a few of the fruits that my son dislikes isn’t always the easiest.  He certainly loves peanut butter and chocolate so this recipe was a win!

This Protein Smoothie For Kids is exactly what they need to get their morning starting off on the right!

  1. Can you substitute the ricotta for cottage cheese or the coconut milk for almond milk or homo milk and will still taste good?

  2. My 2.5 year old and I made this shake today and he loved it. Thanks for the great recipe! We have an immersion blender that can’t handle ice, so I used a frozen banana instead. This worked just fine.

  3. I am allergic to dairy and my family doesn’t eat it. What would you recommend to replace the cheese or would you just eliminate it?
    Thanks
