Avoiding carbs? Going gluten free due to intolerance? Not only is this recipe for Low Carb Cheesy Bread gluten free, Keto, and low carb diet friendly but it tastes amazing. It is also a very versatile substitute for bread items- you can eat it slightly cooled right out of the oven or slice, freeze, and use later on for everything from pizza crust to sandwiches.
I really miss bread when I am doing a low carb way of eating but this yummy recipe makes it so much easier on me to stick to the low carb diet plan without depriving myself one bit. Give it a try because I know you will love it too…
Low Carb Herbed Cheesy Bread
Ingredients:
- 4-6 eggs
- 2 cups your favorite shredded cheese
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Spray an 11×13 (ish) baking sheet well with non-stick cooking spray.
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and stir until well mixed. The more eggs you use the more “eggy” flavor your end result will have, 4 is enough of a binder for the cheese but you can use up to 6. Use your favorite shredded cheeses to get a combination you like best, my favorite is a mozzarella and Colby-Monterey Jack mix.
Once combined spread your mixture over your prepared pan evenly.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked throughout. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
This cheesy “bread” recipe is so versatile- you can slice this into breadsticks, use it for making grilled cheese, as pizza crust, or for sandwiches. While the recipe is delicious just as it is you can play around with various shredded cheeses and even the seasoning to create something you love.
This is a great side dish to Tomato Soup or even wish grilled steak! It’s delicious and everyone loves them!
