Tomatoes! Yum! Have I mentioned that I could actually live on tomatoes and cheese every day? Seriously, my absolute favorite food in the world is tomatoes. Last week my family and I went to a Brazilian steak house for dinner and I was thrilled when they brought some grilled tomatoes to the table with a little Parmesan on them and after I snarfed down 3, I knew I needed to make my own version with a few little changes!
I used some fresh tomatoes that I had from my container tomatoes and I ended up baking my tomatoes instead of grilling them and I was so excited with the flavor that came out! Check out my simple four ingredient recipe below!
How to make Parmesan Baked Tomatoes
Ingredients You Need
- 4 Whole Tomatoes
- Fresh Parmesan
- Garlic Salt
- Fresh Basil
Step 1 – Slice your tomatoes in half and place on a pan
Step 2 – Sprinkle the fresh Parmesan over the tomatoes
Step 3 – Add the garlic salt, you may just want a sprinkle depending on your tastes
Step 4 – Place the tomatoes in the oven on broil for about 5 minutes
Step 5 – After the cheese is browned, pull the tomatoes out and sprinkle the fresh basil over the top
These are so simple to make and can easily be used as a side when you’re entertaining, you can make an entire batch very quickly! For me, I could make these every day to go with my meals but I LOVE tomatoes and cheese together! LOVE!
