Rice Krispies Mini Bites #easytomake
Disclosure: The post was sponsored by Rice Krispies.
Spring is here and Easter is actually tomorrow. Our plans drastically changed from the expected trip to Grandma's house when our little guy got sick on the drive and we made a quick turn around and headed back for home. Bummer!
That means that our Easter is at home and I'm unprepared for the meal and desserts. I needed some quick ideas to make the holiday special after the change of plans.

I don't need to spend hours on recipes that create culinary masterpieces, I was able to put together some simple and delicious little treats using Rice Krispies and just a few ingredients I had at home to make these Rice Krispies Mini Bites. I got the inspiration for this little treat from my good friend over at Smart School House!

I was scanning through all the delicious recipes on the Rice Krispies Pinterest Board and came across come Chocolate Truffles for my inspiration on these little bites. I can think of so many different parties and ways that I could make these little guys for and the best part is they took me less than 15 minutes to make!

How to Make Rice Krispies Mini Bites

Instructions
Step 1 - In a large bowl melt the marshmallows and butter in the microwave for 45 seconds
Step 2 - Mix until the marshmallow mixture is smooth
Step 3 - Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and combine well
Step 4 - Press the cereal mixture into the greased pan, I used a little heart shaped pan to make some fun shapes. Stick them in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
Step 5 - Melt your Vanilla or white chocolate and dip the the shapes in the mixture then top with sprinkles. Enjoy!

I asked my boys how they liked these little treats and they gave them a 10 of 10! I would have to agree with that too, because they are so simple to make and tastes so good! I love making recipes that end up being a fun family activity that we can do together and these are simple enough for the boys to make on their own!

Yum! I love classic treats like Rice Krispie Bars!
What a great idea to make these smaller. I always found them a little too sweet. I will definitely be making these to take with me on an adult camping trip. They will be just as popular with that crew! I'm going to try dipping them in some melted butterscotch candy coating today!
