We have really been loving our sausage recipes over the last month – this Slow Cooker BBQ Sausage Bites is one of our favorites along with the Italian Sausage Casserole that we posted just a couple weeks ago. If you haven’t checked that recipe out – it’s a family tradition meal that we make all the time!
This BBQ Sausage Bites recipe was something I made to take to a potluck later today, I was trying to think of a delicious option that would be easy to make. Of course I had some Klement’s Polish Sausage in the refrigerator so I thought this would be easy and perfect to make.
I have to be honest, keeping my kids from eating all of these before we left the house was a small challenge! They saw Sausage and BBQ and wouldn’t stay out of the kitchen! If I were smart – I would have made a batch for them and a batch to take to the party. Ha!!
Klement’s Cooked and Smoked Sausage are created from old world European recipes that have been passed down for generations using only the finest ingredients and comes in a variety of different flavors! That means that you’ll always have a delicious recipe when you use their sausage!
Plus, you can switch out the types of sausage and make your recipes a little different each time.
How to Make Slow Cooker BBQ Sausage Bites
Ingredients You Need
- 1 Package of Klement’s Polish Sausage
- 2 Cups BBQ Sauce
- 1 Cup Grape Jelly
Instructions
Start by cutting your Klement’s Polish Sausage into bite size pieces – one package ended up filling my Slow Cooker about half way.
Mix together the BBQ Sauce and Jelly.
Pour the BBQ Sauce mixture over the sausage.
Cook on low for 4 hours and enjoy!
I’ve also added a little Sriracha Sauce in this recipe for a bit of heat – but this batch was going to be eaten by kids so we kept it mild.
Klement’s also makes Snack Sticks as well as Summer Sausage! The Snack Sticks are perfect for busy people who really care about the food they eat!
They’re such a convenient high protein choice that fits into any on the go lifestyle! My youngest guy always grabs a couple of these when he’s headed out the door for football practice!
Klement’s Sausage Company story began 60 years ago when three brothers- John, George and Ron Klement purchased a small sausage company in South Milwaukee. Word about the genuine, old country flavor spread quickly and before long, Klement’s was a family favorite!
They’ve grown a lot since that small 6-person operation, but haven’t lost sight of what made their family business a success. Hard work, dedication, and perfectly seasoned sausage – the perfect recipe for success!
Make sure to give the Klement’s Snack Stick a try on September 23 which is National Snack Stick Day! Grab a few to share with your family and friends!
What types of recipes do you make with Sausage? I’d love more ideas and things to make for my boys!
