Have you ever made a Tin Foil Dinner, also known as a Hobo Dinner? They’re traditionally made when camping or over fires when you cook outside. You’ll have all your ingredients in a piece of tin foil and then it’s cooked on the grill, over a fire and some people even make them in the oven now.
We made an amazing beef tin foil recipe using hamburger, potatoes, onions and mushrooms. It turned out delicious and it’s one of our new favorite meals. Plus, It’s easy to clean up! I love that!
How to Make Tin Foil Hamburger Dinner
Ingredients You Need
- 2 Pounds of Beef
- 1 Red Onion, diced
- 4 Potatoes, diced
- 1 Cup Mushrooms, sliced
- Salt
- Pepper
- Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Step 1 – Spread out a piece of tin foil on the counter
Step 2 – Form a 1/4 pound beef patty and center it on the foil
Step 3 – Add the veggies that you’d like to include with a dash of salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
Step 4 – Fold the tin foil, be sure to seal all side so no steam can escape
Step 5 – Cook over a hot grill for about 20 minutes, be careful when opening these little packages the steam is very hot. Enjoy!
These are so quick and easy to make, plus they end up with a ton of flavor when everything is grilled together in the tin foil. I love making these simple tin foil hamburger dinners and can’t wait to try out different recipes this summer for the family!
