One of my all time favorite desserts is apple crisp with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! I always prefer a fruit dessert over chocolate or peanut butter, and this one is no exception. It’s loaded with a Cinnamon Toast Crunch topping that gives it a crunchy texture that’s the perfect compliment to the recipe!
Ok, so honestly these are two of my favorite things combined into an amazing recipe, apples and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal! I usually use oatmeal in my apple crisp recipe but I thought this would be a fun version and probably taste amazing, boy was I right!
My youngest who doesn’t usually eat apple crisp snarfed this recipe right down without a word! It’s just that good! Plus, you can put it together in a matter of minutes, no complicated recipes here!
How to Make Apple Crisp with a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Topping
Ingredients You Need
- 4-6 Apples, peeled, cored & sliced
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- 3/ Cup Flour
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup Butter
Start by peeling, coring and slicing your apples before tossing them with the granulated sugar and cinnamon until they are well covered with the sugar mixture. Place the apples in your baking dish, I used individual ramekins and this recipe made four. Next mix together the brown sugar, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, flour, cinnamon, and butter in a dish before sprinkling it over the top of the apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Top with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
