Who loves making freezer meals? Being able to cook or prep for about an hour one day and have meals for the week or month that are ready to thaw out and dump into the slow cooker. It doesn’t get much easier than that!

I’ve really gotten into making freezer meals, they just make getting dinner on the table so much easier. Especially on busy days when I know I’m not going to have time to spent long in the kitchen, I can pull one of the meals out, thaw and dump it in the slow cooker and dinner will be ready when I get home that evening.

Beef stew Freezer Meal
Ingredients You Need
2 lb beef chuck roast grass-fed, fat-trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
3 carrots peeled and chopped
2 celery ribs chopped
1/2 onion chopped
2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 bay leaf
Instructions
Combine all ingredients (except beef broth) in a FoodSaver® bag, adding the beef to the bag last so it’s the first ingredient poured into the crockpot.
When ready to eat, thaw overnight in the refrigerator or in a bowl of cold water.
Add to crockpot with beef broth and cook on “low” setting for 8 hours or until carrots are soft.
Lasagna Freezer Meal
Ingredients You Need
1½ lbs ground beef, browned and drained
8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
28 oz can diced tomatoes
1 jar pasta sauce
½ cup green pepper, diced
1 cup cottage cheese
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Parsley
½ tsp. oregano
¼ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. basil
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
Instructions
Freezer everything but the cottage cheese and pasta sauce in a FoodSaver® bag. When you’re ready to cook, thaw and pour into a slow cooker with the cheese and pasta sauce and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
Sloppy Joes
Ingredients You Need
1 1/2 lb. browned ground beef
1 Onion, diced
1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce
14 oz. Can Tomato Sauce
1/4 Cup Water
1 TBSP Brown Sugar
2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 tsp. Lemon Juice
2 tsp. Chili Powder
1 tsp. Dry Mustard
Instructions:
Freezer everything in a FoodSaver®Bag. When you’re ready to eat, thaw. Heat in pot on stovetop over medium until desired heat is achieved or cook in slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours. Serve on buns.
