This delicious Pizza Casserole is one of our family favorites because it’s simple to make and yummy to eat! If you do once a month Freezer Meals, this is a great option to make.
My sister-in-law recently had a baby, this means she has 2 little ones under the age of 14 months. Since they just had a baby last year and pretty much have everything they need for the little guy, I decided to make a bunch of freezer meals for them. This should help getting dinner on the table in the evening when her hubby is at work and life is a little crazy.
This casserole is simple to make and if you love Pizza it will be perfect for you and your family. It freezes well so when you’re doing your freezer meals with ground beef, you can make this as an option.
How to Make Pizza Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 Pound of Ground Beef
- 1 Package Rotini Pasta
- 1/2 Package of Pepperoni
- 1 Jar of Pizza Sauce
- 2 Cups of Shredded Cheese
Instructions
Step 1 – Brown the beef until it is fully cooked
Step 2 – While you are browning the meat bring a pot of water to a boil and then cook your pasta (a little under done so they don’t get soggy in the sauce)
Step 3 – After the pasta is ready, drain it with a strainer
Step 4 – Mix the beef, pasta, Pepperoni, Pizza Sauce and cheese together in one bowl
Step 5 – Either let the casserole cool down before covering and freezing or bake right away at 350 for 30 minutes
This made 2 9×9 casseroles or one 9×13.
I sprinkle a little extra cheese on top before I bake the casserole, I figure you can’t go wrong with a little more! My family of four can easily eat from one 8×8 casserole, I usually serve breadsticks and a salad along side the pizza bake.

You don’t say how to cook it after freezing it.
For the pizza casserole, you do not say how long to bake if it is frozen. Obviously longer than 30 minutes?
I’m interested this recipe but I need to know the bake-from-frozen directions. Did you happen to figure it out? 🙂
