Slow Cooker Recipes: Apple Garlic Pork Shoulder Roast

October 13, 2013   |   7 Comments

We have another delicious fall apple recipe to share with you today!  I have been fortunate enough to get lots of apples from one of my neighbors, I have been using them in all sorts of different easy recipes this fall. This fall apple recipe is for your slow cooker and I am sure that you are going to love the cooking smells that will be drifting throughout your home.

I’ve been trying to think beyond our normal applesauce and apple butter recipes and use the apples in different ways.  I have several new recipes to share with you in the next few weeks!

This recipe is an Apple and Garlic slow cooker pork shoulder roast, it’s simple to make.  I love crock pot recipes where you throw everything in the pot and have dinner ready to go that night.  This is one of those easy recipe ideas that you will love.  It’s the perfect fall dinner on one of those cooler evenings.

crockpot recipes, slow cooker pork roast

This apple and garlic pork roast was very moist and full of flavor.   My garlic mashed potatoes and homemade white bread are a perfect pair for this meal.

This would be a great option for Thanksgiving dinner if you want something other than turkey to serve your guests.  We usually make turkey and ham, but I’m not a big ham fan, so this is a great option for me.

What types of recipes do you make with apples?  I would love some new ideas and things to try!

Love this!!! Made it with 2 Granny Smith and 2 Macintosh, and served with garlic mashed potatoes. It received the highest honor available at our dinner table… the kids were silent for 10 minutes as they gobbled up every bite, then asked for more!

We made this last night and it was absolutely delicious, all 4 kids and my picky husband couldn’t resist and loved it. I’ll be adding this to our monthly meals.
