Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches

January 6, 2017   |   Leave a Comment

What sounds better than having an easy breakfast that’s ready to go in the morning? We’ve put together an easy way to make Breakfast Sandwiches that will make your mornings a little less hectic!  Paired with our Freezer Smoothies – you have an amazing meal that’s full of nutrition.

The best part is that I used my  FoodSaver® Food Preseration System  to seal my sandwiches and keep them from getting freezer burn.

Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches

I start by baking my eggs in the oven in small ramekins, or you can use a muffin tin. This way they are all perfectly round and fit on my English muffins exactly!

How to Make Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches

Ingredients You Need
  • 5 English muffins
  • 5 large eggs
  • 5 slices cheese
  • Bacon, I bought the precooked
  • salt and pepper

Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray 5 ramekins  with cooking spray and place on a cookie sheet.
Crack one egg into each ramekin.
Whip with a fork slightly.
Season with salt and pepper.
Bake eggs for 12-15 minutes or until set.
Remove from oven and cool slightly.
Run a knife around the edge of ramekin and flip over to remove eggs or pick up with a fork carefully.

Allow to cool while you prepare the remaining ingredients.
Slice English muffins in half.
Layer each with one slice of cheese, bacon and one cooked egg.
Top with other English muffin half.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in a FoodSaver® bag and seal before freezing.
To reheat:  Remove plastic wrap from the frozen sandwich and wrap in a paper towel.
Microwave  for 1 minute, flip over and microwave for 1 more minute.

Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches

My two boys and I have a sandwich each day, so I use my  FoodSaver® to seal three sandwiches together and stick them in the freezer.  This way I have the perfect sized bags to pull out and make each morning!

If one of decides we don’t want one that day, I can easily reseal the bag and pop it back in the freezer.

The new Express Bag Maker on the FoodSaver® FM5000 Series Food Preservation System cuts bag making steps by 50% so that every time you lock down lower seal and cut bar, it is pre-sealing your next bag. This is a huge Mom win!
