How to Make Chicken and Mushroom Spaghetti
Ingredients You Need
- PERDUE® Chicken Tenders ( I used 12 tenders)
- 1/2 Cup Butter (1 Stick)
- 1 Cup Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 Small Onion, Diced
- 1 Garlic Clove, Minced
- 2 Pieces of Bacon
- 1/4 Cup White Wine (you can also use Milk)
- 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
Step 1 – Fry your bacon in a large skillet until it crumbles easily
Step 2 – Remove the bacon from the pan and let it cool on paper towels
Step 3 – Leave the bacon grease in the skillet and add your chicken tenders
Step 4 – Cook both sides of the chicken until it’s browned lightly, place in a baking dish (I used a 9×9)
Step 5 – In the same skillet add the onions, mushrooms and garlic and saute until the onions are translucent
Step 6 – Add the white wine to the onion mixture and stir
Step 7 – Add the bacon, Cream of Mushroom soup and Parmesan cheese to the onion mixture and mix well
Step 8 – Pour the cheese mixture over the chicken tenders and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
Step 9 – While the chicken is baking, make your spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions
Step 10 – Serve the chicken and mushroom mixture over the spaghetti and top with salt and pepper to taste.
We are huge chicken eaters at our house so this is one of our favorite recipes. You can see it’s kind of light on the green veggies so we like to have a side salad with it or a big helping of broccoli!
This is one of those recipes that’s great as leftovers too! So, be sure to make extra and enjoy it the next day for lunch too!
