Chocolate Trifle

October 17, 2011   |   3 Comments

This is one of the most super easy, cute and absolute delicious recipes to try.  One of my good friend, Tami, gave me this a few years ago and I use it regularly because of those reasons.  Tami, if you are reading this, you are a baking genious!!  Love ya girl!
Some of my pictures are a little blurry, sorry in advance.
This is how the dessert turns out!!  Yummy, I am not a sweets girl, but give me a spoon!
This really is super easy.  Just start out with baking any type of chocolate cake, mine happens to be a milk chocolate.  Follow the directions on the box and bake the cake just like normal.
When the cake is cooled after baking, just cute it into small squares.  Mine are about 1 inch, but any size will work just fine.  Start with a layer in the bottom of your dish.  I have made this in a glass bowl and it turns out pretty too.
You will then need one of the large boxes of Chocolate pudding, just follow the pudding recipe.  Add a layer of pudding over the cut up cake pieces.  (sorry about the fuzzy pic!!)
Next a layer of cool whip.  I buy one of the large containers for this dessert and end up using all of it.
Just continue layering in that order until your dish is as full as you would like.
I top with Heath bar cut up, chocolate drizzle and usually a carmel drizzle as well.  It is super yummy and sooo simple.  It’s one of those recipes that looks really impressive with little effort!!  Enjoy!!This is linked up with A Southern Fairytail
